The difference between ''normal'' blushing and excessive blushing

Facial blushing is a perfectly normal physiological response. Its being human.

When is it more than blushing?

It becomes an issue when the blushing response creates feelings of anxiety or embaressment, which in turn reinforces the blushing which in turn reinforces the anxiety into a viscous circle of negative feelings and blushing.

Some suffer from blushing much more than others, having built a strategy or unconcious response resulting in the blushing. Its a learnt response.

Sometimes the blushing is dependant on a situation or environment, such as public speaking, approaching the opposite sex, or when you are put ''in the spotlight or in an unexpected position''.

A person may even blush with just their close friends and immediate family.
